FictionDiana Gabaldon The Outlander
series is my favorite set of stories. Many people mistakenly
classify these books as Romance. While there is a love story (a
great one) this tale is not your typical bodice ripper. It's a
fabulous piece of historical fiction with a twist.
Stephen King Stephen King is
my favorite author overall. I have consistently enjoyed his work.
I would even go so far as to call myself "Constant Reader".
Although I do think he went a little too far in trying to tie all
his stories into one universe. However, he redeemed himself with
the ending of the Gunslinger saga. At first, I thought,
"NOOOOOOO". But, then I realized it couldn't have ended any other
way. And speaking of Roland of Gilead, if we are taking
nominations for who should play him in the movie, my vote
wholeheartedly goes to Josh Holloway of "Lost" fame.
Maeve Binchy Another author
that is mistakenly filed under the Romance category. Maeve
Binchy's stories are the antithesis of romance. Heartache,
longing, unrequited love, regret and fear, these are the themes of Ms.
Binchy's books.
